The "Secret Military Base" is more of just more of a military research center, its a HELL to get there considering that the longer you wait to get there the more trees there are on the path. The secret army base is pretty neat, although apparently swarming with zeds (I've never lived long enough to make it there to check). The mall is also pretty cool, but big enough to get respawning zombies in it. IMO, respawning zombies don't really work with the idea of clearing the place out, ala Dawn of the Dead.
