I did overhead adjustmrnt and looked at all solenoids they looked ok (I did not take them out). I have a mx13 and love the engine very reliable and good power for the size of the engine. No leaks and does not use oil. Very easy to maintain yourself. As far as longevity my brother and his wife run team air freight their trk just went passed 1 million with the mx 13.
