First Hand Gozone Experience. If anyone wants a first hand experience of potentially why gozone drivers are so bad I made the mistake of requesting a ride because Uber prices flared from $10 up to $40 randomly and I was in a bit of a rush to get somewhere today. I'm currently sitting in the car with this dude and wishing I never had. We all hate GoZone. Something needs to happen. Here's the truth: It's over. DCTA is run by Denton, Highland Village, and Lewisville. The board is 14 members, but in reality is 5 members who can vote on major decisions. It requires 3/5ths vote to pass something. Highland Village gets one vote for 15k people. Denton transit is in flux during the switch to Go Zone, which itself will be under fire when it turns out to be too expensive per rider - they keep saying '75 cents' but you are paying far more than that as a taxpayer.
