I doubt it's ever been started... ( at least it looks that way ) What kind of issues did this motor have? Is it the 60 or 90 degree V? Did the oil Injection Work well on this engine? However, our only problem is that the motor wants to rest on the ground...Look at the engine as a big air pump. If is it not efficient it will show most at low speeds. Your engine has a idle stabilizer, a black box on the front top of the engine. Disconnect it and set the timing in the water where it will idle at about 750 rpm in gear. It will idle at 145 degrees all day but as soon as you raise the RPM's it gets hot and the alarm goes off. It does not cool down after it gets hot.
