My GSG seems to have one nagging problem, failure to go into battery. I've checked and what is holding it open, that fraction of an inch, is the extractor. It hits the face of the extractor slot, and stops the slide just short of battery. Since SIG will no longer be carrying the Mosquito, GSG has adopted the gun design and will be selling them in the U.S. as the .22 GSG Firefly.Unfortunately, Taylor does not list the firing pin as one of their parts offered. Looks like my options are; 1. put the Firefly into the safe and let it collect dust, 2. find a gunsmith to fabricate a firing pin, or 3. toss the Firefly into the St. Johns river. PT-92, 945, G2C, 9mm, 66, 605 & 45 LC Gaucho; just to name a few!

GSG is owned by SIG Sauer’s parent company, and for many years GSG manufactured the SIG Mosquito. The FireFly is the same gun rebranded and with some improvements in reliability. I owned a Mosquito a few years ago and suffered many feeding issues. Those problems have been resolved in the FireFly.
