Do all of the 1895 have Jm stamped on the barrel and trying to get the age of the rifle. Also does having the barrel ported affect the value negative or positively. Like.

Serial starts with 98 so I figure manufacture of 2002. My question is this , The "JM" stamp is crude compared to the older Marlins. The barell is New Haven Conn. I also have a XL7 30-06 serial # starts with 91 so it must have been built in 2009,it is also market with New Haven Conn on the barell. The stamp "JM", I assume, is about half there.
