I have a CECHA01 running old REBUG custom firmware. I used to use this thing regularly, especially for ripping my disc games to folders I would copy to my PC and keep for safekeeping. But as with all of these first-gen PS3s, it overheats, a lot, and will eventually shut off. No YLOD, but it's pretty frustrating.

The only real way to fix this is to clean the dust out and replace the thermal paste. It was manufactured in March 2007. Just bought it on eBay and when I turn it on, the fan gets waaaay too loud.
