Definitely missable. There needs to be a warning tbh, bc there is a save maybe five minutes before them. Honestly, the most frustrating part is that, if you’d been scanning everything, you actually already scanned them once aboard the frigate (it has both standard and ice shriekbats). Sadly, yes, if you miss a boss scan, you can't get it back. Gotta restart and use a guide so you don't miss any missable scans. The game should tell you your item percentage on the file select screen along with the endgame screen. 100% items is different than scans and is the only one that affects the ending.
