I bought a new 23 f150 xl stx Friday everything is great but when the cold front came in every time I drive it I get the humming buzzing noise about 3 miles into the trip. The truck had 64 miles on it the first time it happened.Try a road test pulling a hill, the longer the better. If you hear the noise select 4x4 high right away. If noise stops it "may be" the splines on the hubs slightly touching. Ford uses Vacuum to hold the locking hubs off, If vacuum is lost, like when pulling a hill, they try to slightly engage, thus the noise. Good luck.

Update: Dealer is awaiting a part from Ford which is currently looking to come in 2/8, but that date could change. I am hopeful but skeptical the IWE replacement will solve this as the dealer went above and beyond and even attempted to swap another IWE off another brand new 23 F-150 on their lot and now they both make the noise.
