Yesterday I was driving my 1500 Silverado and the radio screen went black, Screen is still backlit but there is no functionality or picture of any kind. I have a recently purchased 2007 Chevy Silverado Classic. The truck does not chime of the key is in ignition and the door or open. I know the door switch works as the lights turn on/off as they should. Just the chime doesn't sound.

The second time I had to reset the system. I went (on the truck) to settings-> System -> Reset options -> Restart in safe mode. In the on screen instructions it says to shut down engine, open door, close door, then wait 1 min at least (I waited 3 to 5). Started back up and it immediately started working right.

I have had two suggestions. One was to clean the screen and the other to run the calibration test. I cleaned and then tried to run the test. The test called for me to touch the screen in each corner and then in the middle. Could not make contact in the middle.

It was produced 10/13 and just turned 6,000 miles with absolutely no issues (outside of the numerous recalls). This past week, the DIC cluster strarted going dim after the truck was driven about 20-30 minutes, in bright daylight, in 90 degree central Oklahoma humidity.

Hello all. I financed an 07 Gmc sierra 1500 quad cab texas edition back in January. The truck ran great until mid may. Been having problems ever since. It started off while i was driving. The AC went out, but was still blowing, radio acting crazy, every light came on, on the dash, all gauges were going down then up.

Following up on my previous post, I found what was causing the 60amp to blow. The wiring harness that runs from the MBEC under the dash (which appears controls passenger side windows and power seats), was being pinched by the parking brake release.The most common causes of this issue include: Loose wire harness that plugs into the back of the display Extreme heat You can check the wire harness for any looseness. Well if the high beams work in manual and the flash position of the multifunction the the bulbs must be working. First thing I would check is relay not sure if a different relay is used in auto.
