Hi Fan of Delta Faucets, Thank you for your question. This tub spout will not work with the RP12307 adapter. It includes an adapter that can slip onto smooth 1/2" copper or the adapter can be removed to thread the spout into 1/2" IPS. Best regards, Jon
Aug 11, 2022 · First, make sure that you have a drill bit that is the same size as the set screw. Next, insert the drill bit into the opening at the base of the tub spout and turn on the drill. Apply pressure to the drill bit as you turn it counterclockwise until the set screw is loosened enough to remove. Since a delta shower set was already installed I stuck with delta to avoid any major remodeling. Was able to swap out the shower head and handle easy. When I got to the tub spout I discovered that there is a proprietary fitting put onto the end of the pipe. This won’t allow me to simply screw in any tub spout.Jan 10, 2014 · Product Description. It's clear that the tub spout adapters are soldered on, there are no set screws. I've reviewed the existing posts about these adapters on the subreddit and it's clear they can be a pain to remove when soldered on.
