IIRC, the Ohlins is a standard body and the spring is selected for your weight when you order the shock. Individual shops may elect to adjust the valving on the Ohlins but that is not a factory option. The Wilbers shock is built to order and so the valving can be adjusted during the factory assembly of the shock.So, all that said Ohlins are great if you have to money to pay for them, and the patience to dial them in. Fox/Racetech are good, and take less dialing in. Progressive/Bitubo or comparable price range parts are good for general use, slightly improved over stock. As stated above, The NIX 22 is just Ohlins putting out a product to cover the R3/400, and is very basic with little to no actual valving and engineering development. While high quality in material and build, the base GP Suspension is still far superior over the base Ohlins carts. 1 Reply. M.

Upgrades to the front will also offer better ride and handling characteristics but in the rear the differences is night and day.
