If you wont take my advice on this, just be carefull and do a perimeter search around your place before getting wood. While you can get planks by bashing down doors. Chopping down trees and then using a saw to make planks is much more efficient. You'll get a lot more planks from a tree then you will from a door.

If you're ever doing it in real life, turn it off and let it cool before adding more fuel.
