Hello, I’m having issues with my P0299 code on my 2015 Buick Encore (I know it’s not Chevy Trax but the people posting seem to have knowledge on what’s going on). I first got the code and pulled the turbo and there was a crack on the inside of the turbo, obviously bad.Anyhow, my wife's 1.4L Ecotec Encore-Trax with 83,000 miles threw a ton of codes last week, P0106, P0171, P1101, P015B and some others, all seemingly relating to a vacuum leak and corresponding lean condition resulting from too much air. They replaced the valve cover, camshaft cover and the intake manifold. Also the found a missing pcv hose and replaced it. The codes that they found were p0171,p1101, and p0108. All of this was replaced under the power-train warranty. I was told this is a common problem and they have updated what they replaced so it shouldn't happen again hopefully.

Some people on here claim to have solved this code accidentally when they replaced their car battery. So even a failing or bad battery can cause this code to pop up.
